Interested in getting organised with a CEO of My Own Life® planner for 2021, but unsure which edition is the best fit for your life?
In this 2021 Planner Guide, we will cover the basics, discuss the differences between the editions, and provide answers to some key questions to help you find your perfect planner for 2021.
Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a full-time mum, a student or a high-flying lawyer, our planners are created to enable you to be better organised and more productive every day across each part of your life. They prompt you to focus your daily planning on four key areas: business & career | home & family | health & fitness | you.
What you'll find ...
As well as the standard planning pages, you will find well-structured annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily goal-setting worksheets, along with habit trackers, financial planning pages and areas for self-reflection.
You’ll be able to:
- Set your 2021 goals
- Organise your to-dos
- Cultivate new habits and track their progress
- Get on top of your finances
- Plan your holidays
- Reflect, unwind and be inspired
- Access calendars, key dates, contacts and more
But which edition is the right fit for your life? Let’s find out.
Choose your style
The first step is to decide on the type of planner you’d like to use: a Classic (book-bound) planner, a Spiral planner or our Personal Organiser. Here is an overview of all three:
Classic Planners
The classic CEO of My Own Life® planners are bound in a luxuriously soft faux leather with rose gold accents on the cover. They come in daily and weekly editions.
2021 colours are: Classic Black, Midnight Blue and Burgundy. There are two limited editions for 2021 too: Rose and Classic Black. The content in the standard and limited-edition planners is identical, but the covers of the limited editions are designed for those who prefer a minimalistic look.
Spirals Planners
If you are drawn to prints and enjoy using spiral planners, then these are for you. There are three designs to choose from for 2021: Floral, Stone and Polka Dot.
They are all day-a-page editions and come in a beautiful gift box as standard. We adore rose gold, so you will find rose gold accents throughout, from the cover to the rings and protective corners.
The planning content inside is identical to Classic planners apart from one thing: the weekends. In the Spiral planners, the weekend days share a page and in the Classic editions, Saturday and Sunday have a page each.
Personal Organisers
This is a brand new product line for 2021. Faux leather Personal Organisers are available with 2021 weekly inserts only, which have the same layout inside as the Classic 2021 weekly planners.
Inside the organiser you will discover multiple pockets at the front and back for all your notes, stickers, receipts and paperwork. The mat black leather cover comes in a wide cross stitch design with rose gold details.
Oozing style and sophistication, this personal organiser is definitely one of our new favourites! Not only it is light and compact enough to be carried in a handbag, it will look beautiful whether you are using it in your office or on the go.
(2021 CEO of My Own Life® weekly inserts are sold separately).
Which 2021 edition is right for you?
2021 CEO of My Own Life® planners comes in daily and weekly editions. To decide with edition is the right fit for you, consider the following:
How much space do you require each day for your to-dos?
The day-a-page planners (Classic and Spiral) give you ample writing space for each day of the year. Each day has a 5am–11pm hourly schedule, along with core planning sections: business & career | home & family | health & fitness | personal. These sections are perfect for daily to-dos, as well as goals and notes for each area of your life. A quick glance will let you know what needs to be completed and when.
At the top of the page, you are prompted to write down your mantra for the day, followed by what you are thankful for at the end.
The weekly editions have a week over two pages and, similar to the daily planners, there is a daily schedule, as well as sections for your weekly goals and to-dos.
The daily schedule is 6am–10pm, in 30-minute increments. At the bottom, you’ll find the core planning sections. On the far left, you will find dedicated space for your top priorities and a section for gratitude/memory keeping.
Weekly editions work well for those who enjoy planning their entire week in one go, and those who either have a lot of appointments or like to time-block their days.
In summary:
- I am a very busy bee: go for a daily planner
- I have a handful of to-dos on daily basis: go for a weekly planner
When does your day start and end?
Schedules differ in the weekly vs. daily 2021 CEO of My Own Life® planners, as follows:
- Daily planners: 5am–11pm schedule | 1-hour increments
- Weekly planners: 6am–10pm schedule | 30-minute increments
Where would you use your planner on the daily basis?
Naturally, weekly planners are a lot lighter than daily planners due to them having fewer pages. While all editions are portable (many people carry their daily planners around), if you prefer a light planner, a weekly planner might be a better choice.
Planner weights:
- Classic weekly planners: 1.4lb / 625g
- Classic daily planners: 1.9lb / 870g
- Spiral daily planners: 2.3lb / 1080g
- I am always out and about: go for a weekly planner
- I am mainly office/home based: go for a daily planner (Classic or Spiral)
Do you require notes pages?
- Yes: go for a weekly planner
- No: go for a daily planner
How busy are you on the weekends?
- I am a busy bee: go for a Classic edition
- Weekends are for relaxing: go for a Spiral edition
The only difference between the 2021 daily Classic and Spiral CEO of My Own Life® planners is the weekends.
In the Classic planners, Saturday and Sunday have a page each. In the Spiral planners, the weekend days share a page. So it is all down to how busy you are at weekends. If you have a lot going on and need ample writing space, then a Classic planner will be a lot better suited to you than a Spiral planner.
